Captured early in 2025, this walk takes us through El Hueco, the central market district of Medellin. The soundscape by Colombian-born, Europe-raised contributor Sxmbra features a collaged selection of traditional and deconstructed music from the latin online diaspora, blending in and out of the field-recorded ambience. 

The chaos of traffic, commerce, and cheap goods in overwhelming quantities are scaffolded against a concrete urban megastructure, partially overgrown by plants and scattered waste. To us, this meditative motion-painting hints at a tropical realism of the 21st century, dense in collisions and contradictions with an inherent, transient and tragic beauty.
